Another US Strike Hits Nigeria, ISIS Deputy Abu-Bilal al-Minuki Reportedly Killed

United States President, Donald Trump, has claimed that American forces, working alongside the Nigerian military, carried out a joint operation that eliminated a senior ISIS commander in Africa.
In a statement shared on his social media account, Trump said the operation targeted Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, whom he described as the “second in command of ISIS globally” and “the most active terrorist in the world.”
According to the US president, the operation was meticulously planned and successfully executed through a collaboration between American and Nigerian armed forces.
Trump alleged that the ISIS leader had been hiding in Africa while coordinating terror operations targeting both Africans and Americans before intelligence sources tracked him down.
“He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans,” Trump stated.
The US president further claimed that the operation had significantly weakened ISIS’s global operations and thanked the Nigerian government for its partnership.
However, as of the time of filing this report, there has been no official confirmation from the Nigerian government, the Nigerian military, or US authorities regarding the reported operation or the identity of the alleged ISIS commander.
