Amazon has announced that its annual Prime Day sales event will take place on July 16 and 17 this year.
The event will start at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on July 16 for U.S. customers and will offer exclusive deals for Prime members.
This year’s Prime Day event will be held not only in the U.S. but also in over 20 other countries.
These countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the UK. Amazon stated that Prime Day in India will be scheduled for a later date.
One of the unique features of this year’s Prime Day is the return of invite-only deals. Prime members can request invitations for specific deals by clicking a new button next to the “Add to cart” option on a product page.
If selected, members will receive an email with instructions on how to purchase the item.
Ahead of the main event, Amazon is already offering early deals for Prime members.
For instance, users who have not yet tried Amazon Music Unlimited, which increased in price last year, can get a five-month free subscription.
Additionally, Amazon is providing a three-month trial of its new grocery service, which includes unlimited deliveries on orders above $35 from Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and other partner stores.
Last year’s Prime Day was a significant success for Amazon.
According to data from Adobe Analytics, shoppers in the U.S. spent $12.7 billion, marking a 6.1% increase from 2022. The analytics firm Numerator also reported that the average order size increased from $52.26 to $54.05.
With the upcoming Prime Day, Amazon aims to replicate and even surpass the success of last year’s event, offering a range of attractive deals and exclusive offers to its Prime members across multiple countries.
