Ali Ndume warns of increasing cabal within the presidency, urges Tinubu to take prompt action

—

On Monday, Senator Ndume expressed his concerns and praised President Tinubu for taking action against Minister Betta Edu over alleged financial mismanagement.

According to Ndume, Edu is not working alone but is part of a powerful group forming a cartel within the Tinubu Presidency.

Ndume emphasized the need for Tinubu to swiftly address and dismantle this alleged cartel to prevent any negative impact on his administration.

The senator believes that by suspending Edu, Tinubu is sending a strong message against corruption to other ministers, instilling trust in Nigerians.

In a phone conversation with Newsmen, Ndume acknowledged the timeliness of Tinubu’s action, stating that it allows relevant agencies to conduct a thorough investigation.

He commended Tinubu for acting decisively, which, in his opinion, demonstrates the president’s commitment to tackling corruption within his cabinet.

However, Ndume urged Tinubu not to stop at Edu’s suspension, pointing out the existence of an emerging political cartel that needs dismantling.

He expressed concern that if not stopped, this cartel could become stronger and more detrimental than the previous cabal.

Ndume called on the president to delve deeper into the matter and root out those involved in mismanaging funds designated for humanitarian assistance.

Ndume expressed hope that President Tinubu would continue taking decisive actions in the future to address any issues of financial mismanagement within his administration.

“The President needs to look deep and flush out those involved in mismanaging the funds meant for humanitarian assistance.

“We’re hopeful that the President will take more decisive actions in the future.
