Former World Heavy Weight champion Mike Tyson has broken  his silence about his  true state of health  following concerns about his alcohol addiction. The boxer, who infamously bit-off the ear off the ear of fellow heavy weight Evander Holyfield during a world title match said his alcohol addiction is so serious that he is in on the “verge of dying.”

At a press conference on Friday in New York, Tyson admitted that he had been lying to everyone about going sober. He added: “I wanna change my life,  I wanna live a different life now. I wanna live my sober life. I don’t wanna die. I’m on the verge of dying, because I’m a vicious alcoholic.”

Tyson who has been in and out of rehab over 3 times, was in New York to promote his upcoming fight card with Iron Mike Productions.
