Prolific Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has reportedly gotten threats after Nigeria coasted to victory in its qualifying match against South Africa.
Speaking on Channels TV this morning February 8, former Super Eagles International footballer, Idah Peterside, was quoted as saying;
‘’The biggest problem we have had is that we have gotten some messages where people have sent messages to the goalkeeper threatening him.
I hear some people are telling him don’t come back to South Africa since you didn’t want us to score. We have not heard of any violence, but just threats. They have been threatening him and threatening some people.”
Recall that the impregnable goalkeeper was a major force behind Nigeria’s victory during a fierce soccer battle against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday 7 Feb.
