Adunni Ade Reveals Secret Daughter After Two Years

Nigerian actress Adunni Ade has announced that she welcomed a baby girl with her partner and deliberately kept the news away from the public for more than two years.

She made the revelation on her birthday, Sunday, June 7th, saying:

“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years.”

According to Adunni, the decision was intentional and based on a desire for peace and privacy, not because she felt she owed anyone secrecy.

She wrote: “We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless, and not everything good needs an audience.”

“We wanted to enjoy our blessing,” she added.

Adunni also explained that the period involved “silent battles, moments that tested me, and a strength I had to grow into.”

She described the birth of her daughter as the end of “a journey of almost a decade,” calling her child “her evidence that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time.”

She also addressed speculation about her personal life, saying:

“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached.”

She added that “no single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal,” dismissing any potential rumour that her relationship affected another family.

Adunni Ade is already a mother of two sons from a previous relationship with Michael Boyd: D’Marion Young and Ayden Young.

With the newly revealed daughter, Adunni is now publicly known to have three children—two sons and one daughter.

Who is Adunni Ade?

Adunni Ade, whose full name is Adunni Adewale, is a Nigerian actress and model known for her work in Nollywood. She has appeared in numerous Yoruba- and English-language films and is recognized for roles in drama, romance and action productions.

In her birthday post, she also drew a distinction between her public image and private life, writing:

“Adunni Ade online is one thing. Adunni Adewale at home is something you may never fully understand, and that’s okay.”

Meanwhile, Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari shared on the weekend about how motherhood has transformed her.

In an Instagram post accompanied by a photo of herself and her lookalike daughter, she wrote:

“Motherhood didn’t just arrive. It rearranged me.”

She explained that becoming a mother changed her physically, emotionally and personally:

“It left its mark on my body, my sleep, my sense of who I am.”

“But beneath the stretch marks and tired eyes, something extraordinary happened: my heart grew bigger than I ever thought possible,” she added.

Buari also spoke about discovering inner strength through parenting:

“These same arms that now soothe a feverish child at 3 a.m. once felt so fragile… now they hold whole worlds.”

She concluded by describing motherhood as “my quiet miracle,” saying:

“I lost parts of my old self, only to discover how much more I could become.”
