Ademola Lookman Voted Atalanta Player of the Season

—

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been voted Atalanta Player of the Season following his howling campaign with Atalanta this season, beating teammates Éderson and Koopmeiners to the prestigious award.

It is his second award as the team’s best player, which he won back to back since joining the Italian side following his arrival from Leicester City.

The 25-year-old winger pivoted Atalanta to their first major title in 69 years, scoring a magical hat trick in the final in Dublin against Bayer Leverkusen, the first of its kind in the history of the European tournament.

Making 45 appearances, he scored 17 times and provided 11 assists across all competitions for Atalanta in the just concluded 2023-24 season.

Since his transcendent performance in the Dublin final, Ademola has attracted interest from clubs around the world.

Without a doubt, Nigerian fans have tipped him to succeed his countryman Victor Osimhen as the winner of the next African Player of the Year award.
