Osun State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ademola Adeleke, is maintaining his lead in the ongoing governorship election as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues the collation of results.
Results from 303 of the 332 wards show Adeleke ahead with 177,572 votes, representing 50.5 per cent of the votes so far collated.
His closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, has polled 158,588 votes, accounting for 45.1 per cent.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaam, is currently in third place with 5,917 votes.
Collation of results from the remaining wards is ongoing, with INEC expected to formally declare the winner after the process is concluded.
