President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on the occasion of his birthday, December 13, praising his performance and contributions to national development.
In a goodwill message, the President joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the former Governor of Rivers State, expressing gratitude to God for a life marked by service, courage and purpose.
President Tinubu described Wike as an audacious and results-driven public servant who consistently overcomes challenges to deliver impactful outcomes. He commended the Minister’s leadership in the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory, particularly through key infrastructure projects.
The President highlighted the recent breakthrough in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, noting that Wike’s intervention successfully resolved a 14-year delay that had stalled the project.
According to Tinubu, the FCT Minister has demonstrated resilience, a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to excellence in the execution of his duties.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet—an exceptional performer developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before,” the President said. “He has proven that his reputation as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers.”
The President also acknowledged Wike’s role as a key supporter of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing his contributions as significant despite belonging to a different political party.
Tinubu wished the Minister a happy birthday and prayed for continued strength and wisdom as he carries out his responsibilities in the Federal Capital Territory.
