We use them interchangeably — But failure to separate them is why Nigeria fails —
Knowledge is you have data. Understanding is you know why data is true. Wisdom is you know when and where to use it. Intelligence is you know HOW to use it rightly for greatest good.
Vaccination teaches all — Knowledge: vaccine exists — Understanding: why it works — Wisdom: when to design program — Intelligence: how to deliver ethically to community so it actually makes a LIFE not just a living.
5Cs WITNESS Answer:
– Conscience — Itu Egwu Chineke — Knowledge without conscience is weapon — You may know vaccine exists, but without conscience you will hoard it for your tribe, your party — Conscience asks: is it true and is it right for all?
– Competence — Igba Mbo — Understanding + Wisdom + Intelligence = Competence — Many leaders have Knowledge but zero competence Sir — They cannot interpret why it works, cannot design program, cannot deliver ethically — Small circumference thinking.
– Character — Agwa Oma — Intelligence without character steals vaccine for highest bidder — Character ensures you implement equitably, culturally sensitive, with informed consent — For community benefit, not personal profit — That is how you make a LIFE not just a living.
– Courage — It takes courage to admit you have Knowledge but lack Understanding — To ask right question — To say my horizon must expand from miniature map to giant map.
– Compassion — Wisdom and Intelligence without compassion will design program for Lagos only and forget Zamfara — Compassion says every Nigerian child deserves same protection — 200m Umpires Are Watching — From Mushin to Enugu to Maiduguri — We were never meant to leave anyone behind.
Verdict:
Nigeria is not lacking Knowledge — We are lacking 5Cs — Until politicians FEAR educated grassroots that can differentiate Knowledge from Intelligence, Government will remain performative — Bigotry and tribalism thrive where Knowledge exists without Understanding —
Government = SERVANT Not SAVIOUR — Until We The People demand Intelligence that delivers equity, we will keep making a living but never making a LIFE —
CONCLUSION: OUR MISPLACED PRIORITIES — AFRICA, PARTICULARLY NIGERIA
This is where Knowledge without 5Cs kills us —
1. Primitive Accumulation of Wealth —
We know how to make money — Knowledge plenty — But without Conscience and Character, leaders turn public office to personal warehouse — They accumulate houses in Dubai, London, Abuja — While primary health centres in Mushin, Enugu, Zamfara have no vaccine fridge — That is Knowledge without Intelligence — That is making a living by stealing LIFE from others —
In Africa, we celebrate the thief who succeeded — We call primitive accumulation “smartness” — WITNESS says no — That is Agwa Oma failure —
2. Misuse of Resources —
Nigeria is not poor — Oil, gas, land, sun, youth, brains — We have resources — But misuse is our disease —
We build flyovers where we need vaccines — We buy SUVs for legislators where we need cold chain for immunization — We fund jamboree where we need competence — That is Wisdom failure — We know WHEN and WHERE to use, but we choose wrong WHEN and wrong WHERE because of tribal politics and bigotry —
Resources meant for greatest good become resources for greatest few —
3. Excessive Borrowing —
This is the worst — We borrow for consumption, not for production — We borrow to pay salaries, to fund subsidy fraud, to service old debt — We borrow in dollars, steal in naira, leave debt for our children —
That is Courage failure and Compassion failure — No courage to say NO to borrowing — No compassion for unborn generation who will pay —
A leader with Intelligence would ask: If we borrow, will it make LIFE or just make living for contractors? Will it deliver equity? Will it be culturally sensitive and beneficial to community? If no, don’t borrow —
WITNESS 2026/2036 Final Verdict:
Our problem is not lack of Knowledge — Our problem is misplaced priorities driven by lack of 5Cs —
Primitive accumulation without Conscience — Misuse without Competence — Borrowing without Courage and Compassion —
Until We The People, the 200m Umpires, demand 5Cs — Until politicians FEAR educated grassroots — Africa will keep borrowing to enrich few, while many die of preventable disease —
Government = SERVANT Not SAVIOUR —
We must choose: Accumulate for self or build LIFE for all? Misuse or manage rightly? Borrow to consume or invest to liberate?
