A woman identified by ARISE News as Nigeria’s reported Ebola index patient has allegedly been evacuated from the country aboard a medical air ambulance.
According to the news outlet, the evacuation took place in the early hours of Monday through the private jet section of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
They reported that a convoy of three vehicles, including ambulances and diplomatic vehicles, arrived at the airport’s private wing, where officials reportedly cordoned off the area.
The outlet said it later obtained video footage showing a medical evacuation aircraft preparing to transport the patient.
The woman was reportedly identified as the wife of a Swiss diplomat in Nigeria.
However, the Federal Government had yet to officially confirm the reported evacuation or provide details about the woman’s medical condition at the time of the report.
