The Super Eagles have arrived in Guinea Bissau with their sights firmly set on another victory as they continue their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Nigeria secured a 2 1 comeback victory over Madagascar in Uyo on Friday and will now face Guinea Bissau in a crucial Group L clash at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro.
The hosts currently sit top of the group on goal difference after defeating Tanzania 2 0 in their opening fixture, making Tuesday’s encounter an early battle for first place.
The News Chronicle reports that Nigeria travelled to Bissau after completing their final training session in Uyo on Sunday, with coach Éric Chelle expected to make tactical adjustments for an opponent he considers different from Madagascar.
Nigeria had to come from behind against Madagascar after Ehsan Kari gave the visitors the lead, before debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor turned the game around.

Chelle has warned his players that another approach will be required against Guinea Bissau, insisting his technical team needs to study the hosts’ strengths and weaknesses before deciding on a system.
The Super Eagles will be hoping their improved start to the AFCON campaign continues, particularly after the disappointment of missing out on the 2026 World Cup.
Guinea Bissau however, will be confident of using home advantage to maintain their position at the top of Group L.
