Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, has rejected his inclusion in the policy team of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2027 election.
Moghalu said he was neither consulted nor asked for his consent before his name was published as a member of Atiku’s campaign policy team.
The former CBN deputy governor disclosed this in a statement posted on his X handle, hours after Atiku’s campaign unveiled its Presidential Campaign Council and listed him among members of the Policy Team.
His rejection came as Atiku unveiled a broad campaign structure for his 2027 presidential bid.

The former Vice-President named Kashim Ibrahim-Imam as Chairman of the National Campaign Council, while former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was appointed Deputy Chairman.
Austin Akobundu was named Director-General and Campaign Manager, while veteran journalist and publisher, Dele Momodu, will serve as Deputy Director-General of the Media and Communications Directorate.
According to a statement by Atiku’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, the campaign structure comprises six operational directorates and 30 directors.
Atiku said the lean structure was designed to ensure clear responsibilities, accountability and effective coordination as the campaign prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
