Nigerian Afrobeats stars Davido and Rema, alongside Congolese music heavyweight Fally Ipupa, will headline the 2027 edition of Afro Nation Portugal.
The festival organizers announced the lineup on Wednesday, with Nigerian artistes Omah Lay and Victony also billed to perform on the main Lit Stage.
The annual music festival is scheduled to hold from June 9 to 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal.
Other artistes on the lineup include Jamaican stars Shenseea and Valiant, Tanzanian singer Rayvanny, British-Nigerian artiste Odeal and French-Congolese singer GIMS, who will appear as a special guest.
South Africa’s Amapiano movement will also be represented by Kabza De Small, TxC, Dlala Thukzin and Young Stunna.
Afro Nation Portugal is one of the major festivals dedicated to Afrobeats and contemporary African music.
Launched in 2019 in Portimão, Portugal, the festival is part of the wider Afro Nation brand, which celebrates African music, culture and entertainment across the global diaspora.
Since its launch, the Portugal edition has attracted thousands of music fans from around the world and featured prominent artistes from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the United States.
The festival typically blends Afrobeats, Amapiano, dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and other African-inspired sounds, alongside beach parties, cultural activities and performances by emerging artistes.

The 2027 lineup further maintains Nigeria’s strong presence at the festival, which has featured several leading Nigerian artistes since its inception.
Previous editions have featured Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake and Tems, while Rema headlined the 2024 edition.
The organizers said more artistes would be announced as preparations for the 2027 festival continue.
