The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced plans to carry out its annual preventive maintenance at the Bida 132/33kV Transmission Substation in Niger State on Wednesday.
TCN announced this in a post on its X handle in Abuja on Wednesday, adding that the maintenance would take place from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
According to the company, its team will carry out maintenance on a 60MVA 132/33kV transformer and other equipment at the substation.

TCN said the exercise would affect power supply to customers of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) in Bida Town, Army Barracks, Agaie, Doko, Baro, Zago, Emi Rani, Bussu and Laugba Goshigi.
Other affected areas include Lafiyagi Essa, Amgulu, Mansantali, Agaie Town, Low Cost, Masaga and nearby villages.

The company said power supply would return to the affected areas after the maintenance is completed.
TCN apologised to electricity customers in the affected communities for the inconvenience caused by the exercise.
