FRSC Decorates 261 Newly Promoted Officers, Marshals in Kano

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kano State has decorated 261 personnel with their new ranks following their successful performance in the corps’ latest promotion examination.

The Sector Commander, Idris Lawal, disclosed this during the decoration ceremony on Thursday in Kano.

Lawal, who was represented by Deputy Corps Commander Mohammed Bello Yakubu, said the promotion covered officers and marshals across various cadres.

He said five senior officers advanced from the rank of Chief Route Commander to Assistant Corps Commander, while 196 personnel moved from Road Marshal Assistant to Chief Inspector.

According to him, the promotions recognize the personnel’s commitment, dedication and service to the corps.

Lawal urged the newly promoted personnel to justify the confidence placed in them by improving their service delivery and demonstrating greater commitment to road safety and the protection of lives.

All newly promoted personnel should reciprocate the gesture by improving their service delivery and demonstrating greater commitment to road safety and protection of lives,” he said.

The sector commander stressed that promotion comes with greater responsibilities and charged the personnel to maintain high standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

He urged them to regard their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility and renewed commitment to the FRSC’s mandate.

Lawal also advised the personnel to remain calm when handling difficult situations, warning them against anger and urging them to exercise patience and sound judgment in the line of duty.
