Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, known professionally as 2Baba, has confirmed a crisis in his marriage to his wife, Natasha Osawaru, following a public confrontation between the couple at a nightclub in Abuja.
The incident took place on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the opening of a new nightclub called “90’s Lounge,” where 2Baba was booked to perform. Natasha allegedly arrived at the venue before the singer and approached his vehicle when he arrived, asking to speak with him.
The exchange reportedly caused a commotion outside the venue, and 2Baba brought her inside “in order not to cause a scene.” Natasha had allegedly arrived with a group of men and police had to intervene before the singer went on to perform.
The couple had been estranged for months before the incident, with accounts suggesting 2Baba had told Natasha he no longer wished to continue the relationship.
Two days later, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, 2Baba addressed the situation on stage while performing at a concert marking Daddy Showkey’s 50th anniversary. Speaking in Pidgin English, he said: “I don go look for trouble. I don hear am.” He continued, “Going forward ehh, I don decide not to dey look for trouble again.” When a member of the audience shouted that his experience sounded like love, 2Baba responded firmly: “Na love? You dey craze.”
Following the nightclub incident, 2Baba unfollowed Natasha on Instagram, while Natasha continued to follow him.
2Baba has also refollowed his ex-wife, actress Annie Idibia, over the weekend, with Annie following him in return.
2Baba and Annie were married for 13 years before he announced the end of their union in January 2025. He married Natasha in a traditional ceremony in July 2025.

Reactions to the on-stage comments have been divided on social media. X user Abigail, writing as @BrakuThelma, questioned the timing of the marriage, saying: “No more trouble, but the trouble is still following him on Instagram. Who else thinks this marriage is already finished before the wedding cake is even finished?”
User Dimkpa Emmanuel commented on celebrity marriages, writing: “These celebrities are destroying the value that was placed in family as an institution without their knowledge. We need to stop celebrating divorce and whatever it has.”
Neither 2Baba nor Natasha has issued a direct statement clarifying the current status of their marriage.
