Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.
The Adeosun family announced his passing in a statement issued on Thursday, saying he died in Lagos on Wednesday after a life devoted to God, his family and service to humanity.
The statement, signed by Rev. C. A. Adeosun on behalf of the family, described the late Anthony Adeosun as a distinguished businessman and committed Christian whose life was defined by integrity, generosity and unwavering faith.

According to the family, he earned the admiration of many through his dedication to hard work, service to God and steadfast commitment to his family and community.
Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun; their children; siblings; and other relatives, including Kuramo Capital founder Adewale Adeosun.

The family appealed for privacy during the period of mourning, adding that details of his funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
It also expressed appreciation to friends, associates and well-wishers for their prayers, condolences and support.
Kemi Adeosun served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2018 under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
