American rapper Nicki Minaj has opened up on why she stepped away from regular church attendance, citing the demands of her music career and weekend performance schedule.
Speaking on The Bryce Crawford Podcast, Minaj said her rise to global fame meant working through most weekends, leaving her physically drained and unable to attend Sunday services.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.
However, the rapper emphasized that her decision was not a reflection of a weakened faith, insisting she still maintains a strong relationship with God and continues to pursue spiritual growth.
