As wives, some say: “Your salary is for the family; mine is for myself.”
As mothers, some also say: “Sons forget home after marriage, but daughters never do.”
That contradiction came to mind after reading actress Regina Daniels’ recent outburst about desperately wanting a female child because “girls remember home.”
Funny how today’s expectations from husbands later become tomorrow’s complaints from mothers.
So, is this not a double standard in disguise?
