Eid-el-Kabir: Tinubu Preaches Unity, Promises Better Security, More Opportunities for Nigerians

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace sacrifice, unity, compassion, and hope amid the nation’s ongoing reforms.

In his Sallah message, Tinubu thanked Almighty Allah for preserving lives to witness another Eid-el-Kabir celebration, describing the festival as a reminder of the enduring virtues of faith, obedience, and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

The President called on Nigerians to show mercy and compassion to one another, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background, stressing that the season should strengthen national unity and brotherhood.

“As a nation, we are on a journey of reconstruction and renewal,” Tinubu said, admitting that the government’s reforms have been difficult but necessary to secure a stronger and more prosperous future for Nigeria.

He, however, expressed optimism that the sacrifices made by Nigerians over the past three years were beginning to yield positive results, claiming the economy had become more stable and attractive to investors.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” the President declared.

Tinubu also assured Nigerians that his administration would continue to tackle insecurity, despite persistent attacks by terrorists and bandits in some parts of the country.

Referencing the recent killing of a wanted ISIS leader, the President praised the efforts of security agencies and vowed that the government would not relent until “all forces of evil” are defeated.

To communities under attack, I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten,” he stated.

The President urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peace, national unity, and wisdom for leaders, and encouraged Nigerians to support the less privileged and strengthen communal bonds.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development to improve the lives of citizens.

He wished Muslims a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and continues to bless Nigeria.
