Drake has hit a new streaming record after releasing three albums at the same time on Friday, May 15, 2026. The projects Iceman, Maid of Honor, and Habibti were released at midnight and later broke Spotify’s 2026 record for the most single-day streams by a single artist, according to Billboard.
Drake announced the release during his “Iceman Episode 4” livestream, which drew more than 458,000 viewers at its peak. The livestream was carried on CTV News, CP24, and Drake’s personal channels.
The three albums contain a combined total of 43 songs and feature appearances from Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, PartyNextDoor, Central Cee, and Popcaan.
One of the biggest talking points surrounding Iceman was its cover art and visual theme. Reports stated that Drake spent more than $120,000 to acquire one of Michael Jackson’s original Swarovski crystal-covered gloves. The glove, famously worn during Jackson’s performances in the 1980s, served as a central image associated with the album’s identity.
Actress Cicely Tyson had previously explained that Jackson originally wore the glove to cover early signs of vitiligo, the skin condition that later became publicly known. However, fans criticized Drake’s use of the item, stating that it did not give a meaningful tribute to Jackson’s legacy.
Iceman is being counted as Drake’s ninth studio album, while Maid of Honor and Habibti mark his 10th and 11th albums. The releases follow his 2025 collaborative project Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PartyNextDoor.
Songs from Iceman quickly climbed Apple Music rankings, with “JANICE STFU” reaching No. 1 on both the United States and Global Apple Music charts within days of release. Drake has also occupied the top five positions on the U.S. Apple Music chart and held 10 of Canada’s top 12 spots.
The albums arrive after Drake’s 2024 rivalry with Kendrick Lamar. Several songs on Iceman reference the aftermath of the dispute, including “What Did I Miss?” in which Drake addresses people he believed failed to support him during the conflict.
Music publication Pitchfork reviewed Iceman on May 18, 2026, giving the album a score of 5.9 out of 10. Reviewer Jayson Greene described the project as “an attempt to settle the score,” while arguing that Drake remained heavily focused on old rivalries and streaming debates throughout the record.
