Lateef Adedimeji Praises Mo Bimpe in Emotional AMVCA Speech, Shares Mother’s Day Tribute

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji publicly praised his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade, during the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) and again on Mother’s Day celebrations held on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

At the AMVCA ceremony held on Saturday, Adedimeji dedicated the success of his film Lisabi, which won Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) and Best Makeup, to his wife. While receiving one of the awards, he described Oyebade as “the mother of my three children” and thanked her for her support throughout the production of the film.

Reacting in an Instagram post, Oyebade said she still had “goosebumps” from her husband’s speech. She wrote: “To my man, my partner, my husband, and the father of my kings, thank you for all. I still have goosebumps from your speech on the big stage last night.”

The actress also described Lisabi as the first major project she handled with her husband and thanked the cast, crew, and filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan for their contributions.

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, Adedimeji marked Oyebade’s first Mother’s Day after the birth of their triplets with another public message shared on social media.

In the post, the actor spoke about the couple’s years of waiting before becoming parents. He wrote: “Before the world called you ‘mother,’ I called you strength. They counted years. We counted blessings. They asked questions. We built faith.”

He also described his wife as “a living testament that delay is not denial” and said she had remained “not loud, not bitter, not broken… just quietly powerful.”

The couple recently named their triplet sons Rahman, Raheem, and Rakeeb during a private Islamic naming ceremony announced on Thursday, May 8, 2026. Adedimeji referred to the boys as their “three kings.”

According to the actor, the naming ceremony was attended by close family members and friends, while a larger Thanksgiving celebration is planned for July 2026.

Adedimeji and Oyebade got married in 2021 and have been married for five years.
