Obi Donates N10m to Abuja Anglican Hospital, Reaffirms Commitment to Healthcare

Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has reiterated that investment in health, education and poverty reduction remains central to national development, declaring that his support for the critical sectors will continue to be a priority.

Obi made the statement on Friday after visiting a healthcare facility established and managed by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Diocese of Kubwa.

Following an inspection of the hospital, the former Anambra State governor commended the management for what he described as their commitment to easing the pressure on Nigeria’s struggling healthcare system.

He particularly praised the facility for maintaining a clean and conducive environment for patients.

In support of the hospital’s operations, Obi donated N10 million and urged the management to remain steadfast in their service to humanity.

He also assured healthcare workers and the institution of his continued support for the healthcare sector.

“Health, education, and pulling people out of poverty remain the three most important measures of development of any nation. That is why my support for these critical areas continues to remain a priority,” Obi stated.
