Dahiru Hits ADC Over Lazy Politics, Says Opposition Must Offer Solutions, Not Just Criticism

—

Public affairs analyst Mojeed Dahiru has argued that in a truly democratic society, rigid political party structures should not determine electoral success.

Speaking in an interview on Arise News monitored by The News Chronicle, Dahiru criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for what he described as a misplaced focus on constant condemnation of the Tinubu-led administration, rather than presenting clear, practical solutions to Nigeria’s ongoing economic hardship.

He maintained that while party structure is not a prerequisite for winning elections in a functional democracy, the David Mark— leadership of the ADC should have integrated into the party as ordinary members instead of taking over its existing structure.

Dahiru’s remarks underscore growing concerns about the quality of opposition politics and the need for solution-driven engagement in Nigeria’s democratic space.
