The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has confirmed the appointment of Ms Bimpe Omoyiwola as its 10th substantive Registrar.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in Benin through a statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Benedicta Ehanire.
Omoyiwola is set to take over from Mr Ademola Bobola, whose five-year tenure concludes on March 31, with her resumption slated for April 1.
According to Ehanire, the newly appointed registrar is an indigene of Isin Local Government Area in Kwara State and holds a Master’s degree in International History and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, in addition to other postgraduate qualifications.
She further noted that Omoyiwola, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria, is expected to deploy her wealth of administrative expertise in overseeing the university’s registry.
Prior to her elevation, she served as Director (Registry) at the institution’s College of Postgraduate Studies.
