Bukola Saraki Calls on Peoples Democratic Party Stakeholders to Accept Appeal Court Verdict

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has called on leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to put aside their differences and accept the recent Court of Appeal ruling on the party’s leadership dispute.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki urged party stakeholders to end ongoing litigations and focus on organising a fresh national convention that complies with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He warned that waiting for a Supreme Court decision could delay preparations for the 2027 general elections, stressing that prolonged disputes could affect the validity of candidates’ nominations.

Saraki also cautioned party leaders against allowing personal interests and egos to undermine the chances of PDP members seeking to contest elections on the party’s platform, urging them to prioritise unity and stability within the party.
