Bandits Attack Traders’ Vehicle in Zamfara, Several Injured

Armed bandits have attacked vehicles conveying traders from Kaura Namoda Local Government Area to Talatar Mafara Market in Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, leaving several people injured on Tuesday. 

Eyewitnesses said the assailants opened fire on the vehicles while they were in transit, causing panic among the traders and other road users. The attack forced the convoy to halt as some passengers sustained gunshot wounds.

The injured traders were rushed to Mafara General Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment under the supervision of medical personnel.

Security operatives have reportedly been alerted to the incident, while residents have renewed calls for increased security along major market routes in the area to prevent further attacks.
