Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has said the economic reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu are laying a strong groundwork for the emergence of a “new Nigeria.”
Abiodun made the remark on Monday in Abeokuta after delivering the ninth lesson at the 2025 Christmas carol organised by the state government.
According to him, the reforms have helped stabilise the economy and are promoting inclusive growth across the country.
He noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda is already making a positive impact on national development.
The governor called on Nigerians to continue supporting the President, stressing that unity, compassion and collective responsibility are essential to building a prosperous future for both Ogun State and the nation.
He described Christmas as a season of joy and hope, even in the face of global and domestic challenges.
“The season is more than a date; it reminds of God’s unfading love and a call to care for needy and comfort lonely.
“Worshippers should extend Christ-like love through acts of kindness, especially towards the less privileged,” Abiodun said.
He also reaffirmed Ogun State’s reputation for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, urging residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to ensure a safe and peaceful festive period.
