A sudden fire outbreak has occurred at the popular Kayat Restaurant, located along Polo Road in Maiduguri, Borno State on Sunday morning.
According to witnesses, the incident started moments ago, sending thick smoke into the air as workers and nearby residents rushed to contain the flames. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but eyewitnesses say it may have begun from the kitchen area before spreading to other sections of the building.
Emergency responders and firefighters were immediately alerted and have since arrived at the scene to battle the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby shops and houses.
