America Stands Ready, Something Must Be Done- Trump Fumes, Accuses Nigeria of Christian Genocide

U.S. President Donald Trump has again branded Nigeria a “country of particular concern,” accusing authorities of allowing what he called the systematic killing of Christians.

The claim comes days after Vice-President Kashim Shettima backed Gaza at the UN General Assembly, a stance that reportedly angered conservative Christian blocs in the U.S.

In a post on Friday night, Trump alleged that “thousands of Christians are being killed” by “radical Islamists,” warning that Christianity faces an “existential threat” in Nigeria.

“When Christians, or any such group, are slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria, something must be done,” Trump wrote, urging Congress to investigate the situation immediately.

However, international voices, including a senior Vatican official have rejected Trump’s assertions as overstated, arguing that both Christians and Muslims are victims of Nigeria’s widespread insecurity.

Trump insisted the U.S. “cannot remain silent” and vowed to defend Christians globally, saying America stands “ready, willing and able” to act.
