2027: APC Would Lose the Elections, We are Strategizing- ADC Chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo

Actor-turned-politician and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that the party is “on fire” and ready to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general elections.

Speaking in an interview with Arise News on Monday, monitored by The News Chronicle, Okonkwo said the ADC has continued to gain traction across the country despite alleged efforts by the APC to frustrate opposition parties.

“ADC is going to form the next government. APC will lose the elections. We are strategizing, the party is on fire,” he declared confidently.

Turning to national issues, Okonkwo commended the House of Representatives for considering the creation of an additional state in the South-East, describing it as a long-overdue step toward equity.

According to him, fairness and viability must remain the key factors in state creation, rather than political sentiment or reactions to perceived marginalisation.

“We are talking about fairness. The South-East has only five states while other regions have six or even seven,” he said, stressing that the imbalance must be corrected.

He urged stakeholders in the South-East to view the development as an opportunity to close ranks and work together for the common good of the region.
