Tinubu Offers Jobs, ₦250K, Scholarships to Top 200 NYSC Corps Members

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate employment of 200 outstanding National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members into the federal civil service, in a sweeping gesture of reward and recognition.

Each awardee will also receive a ₦250,000 cash prize and a fully funded scholarship to pursue a postgraduate degree at any Nigerian university.

The President, represented by Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha at the combined 2020–2023 NYSC Honours Award Ceremony in Abuja, described the recipients as models of “discipline, commitment, selflessness, teamwork, patriotism, and integrity.”

In a further show of inclusivity, Tinubu directed that 10 physically challenged ex-corps members injured in active service be offered jobs in the federal workforce. “The government will never forget your sacrifice,” he assured.

The Head of the Civil Service and the Federal Civil Service Commission have been tasked to kick-start the employment process immediately.

The ceremony spotlighted the top male and female performers across the service years, capping off a bold show of national gratitude.
