As political maneuvering intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has hinted that another sitting governor is on the verge of joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television monitored by The News Chronicle on Sunday, July 27, Sule confirmed that the APC is actively strategizing to counter the newly formed opposition coalition, and defections are part of its game plan.
“We’re not just sitting back while the opposition plots,” Sule said.
“Very soon, another governor will join us. Every day, senators and key political players are returning to the APC.
These moves are calculated, they’re not happening by accident.” He added.
Governor Sule emphasized that the party’s internal efforts are already yielding results, with several prominent defections expected in the coming weeks.
