Media personality Daniel Regha has shared his thoughts on Wizkid’s latest track, Piece of My Heart, offering some sharp advice to both the artist and his fans.
According to Regha, the song shows no real growth in Wizkid’s artistry, and he believes it falls short in terms of creativity.
Wizkid, also known as Ayo Balogun, collaborated with Brent Faiyaz on the track. But despite the star-studded feature, Regha argued that the song sounds all too familiar.

One of Regha’s main concerns is that Piece of My Heart still leans heavily into Afrobeats—a genre Wizkid previously said he was moving away from.
Regha feels this shows a lack of experimentation in Wizkid’s music. “He’s not really pushing his pen,” Regha said, suggesting that the singer isn’t challenging himself because he knows his loyal fanbase will support anything he releases.
Regha also used this opportunity to call on fans to hold their favorite artists accountable. He advised them to stop pressuring musicians to release songs that won’t stand the test of time, but rather appreciate music with lasting impact.
