Burna Boy, Odumodublvck Miss Out As The 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards Announce Winners

The BET Hip-Hop Awards, which honors black excellence in music, culture, and sports, were distributed on October 8 at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas.

However, the ceremony was not telecast live on any cable network; instead, it was aired as a taped event on BET and VH1 on Tuesday, 15 October.

Legendary rapper, and music producer Fat Joe hosted the “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2024 for the third time, starting the show with a sizzling performance of his smash single “Make It Rain” alongside DJ Spinatik.

Meanwhile, iconic rapper, Kendrick Lamar who home with top honors, was nominated for 11 awards and took home 8, including “Lyricist of the Year,” “Hip Hop Artist of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Video Director of the Year” with Dave Free for their hit “Not Like Us.”

Travis Scott accepted the “I Am Hip Hop” award, presented by actress and singer Teyana Taylor.

The event also featured performances from some of the genre’s biggest stars, including Trina, Yung Miami, Juicy J, 2 Chainz, and many more.

Recall that earlier in September, Nigerian music superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, and rapper Odumodublvck got the nomination for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Burna Boy was nominated for ‘Best Live Performer’, while Odumodublvck was nominated for the ‘Best International Flow’ award.
