“It Almost Took Me Out”-Jennifer Lopez Reflects on Her Painful Divorce from Ben Affleck

American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has candidly shared the emotional toll of her second breakup with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

At 55, Lopez recently filed for divorce just two years into their marriage, marking the end of their second attempt to make their relationship work after initially splitting in 2004.

The couple parted ways in April, and on August 20, which coincided with their two-year wedding anniversary, Lopez officially filed for divorce.

In an exclusive interview with Interview Magazine, Lopez opened up about the heartbreak, admitting that the divorce almost broke her completely. Despite the emotional pain, she has no regrets about marrying Affleck.

“I don’t regret it for one second,” she said. “But that doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out. It nearly did.”

Reflecting on the experience, she added, “Now, being on the other side of it, I realize it was exactly what I needed. I’m thankful, though I wish I’d learned the lesson sooner. It felt like being hit over the head with a sledgehammer. But I understand now, and I hope I don’t have to go through it again.”
