Governor Zulum’s Media Team Warns Against Fraudulent Solicitations Using “5th Verdict” Compendium

The Media Team of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has issued a stern warning to the public regarding fraudulent activities involving the governor’s recently unveiled compendium titled “5th Verdict.”

According to the Media Team, certain individuals and groups have been impersonating members of Governor Zulum’s Media Team and are using the compendium as a tool to solicit money from prominent personalities under false pretenses.

In an official statement released on Thursday evening, by Mr. Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Zulum, it was revealed that these scammers have been approaching notable figures, claiming to be associated with the governor’s Media Team.

Their aim is to defraud these individuals by either selling the compendium or soliciting donations in its name.

Mr. Bundi expressed the Media Team’s strong disapproval of these fraudulent actions, stating: “It has come to the attention of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s Media Team that certain individuals and groups have been attempting to deceive prominent personalities by using the ‘5th Verdict’ compendium as a means to solicit money or donations. These individuals are fraudulently claiming to be associates of Zulum’s Media Team.”

He further clarified that the “5th Verdict” compendium is not for sale and should not be used for any fundraising or financial solicitation purposes.

The statement emphasized that any attempts to solicit financial contributions in connection with the compendium are unauthorized and should be immediately reported to the appropriate security agencies.

The Media Team reminded the public that the “5th Verdict,” a comprehensive collection of news reports, analyses, features, columns, commentaries, discourses, editorials, selected speeches, and the scorecard of Governor Zulum’s fifth year in office (spanning from May 29, 2023, to May 29, 2024), was recently launched by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani. The compendium is being distributed to the public free of charge.

The statement concluded with a strong advisory for the public to exercise caution when approached by individuals, groups, or organizations offering the “5th Verdict” in exchange for financial support.
