Governor Hyacinth Alia has expressed sadness over the sudden death of Prof. Saint Gbilekaa, a former Chief of Staff in Benue State.
According to reports, Prof. Gbilekaa died at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, after a brief illness.
In a statement yesterday, the governor who described the news of Prof. Gbilekaa’s demise as painful and a great loss to the State, said his intellectual prowess will greatly be missed not only by the Tiv nation and Benue as a state but Nigeria as a whole.
He, however, urged all to be consoled, considering that the legacies of the late Prof. Saint Gbilekaa as a lecturer and particularly, his time and contributions as the Chief of Staff to former Governor Gabriel Suswam between 2007 and 2015, will always remain prominent.
The governor prayed that God Almighty grant him eternal rest, just as he prayed that the good Lord gives his immediate family, friends, colleagues, students around the world, and the entire people of Benue state the fortitude to bear this great loss.
