Regina Daniels Defends Her Call for Peaceful Protest Amid Backlash

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels recently faced backlash after she called for a peaceful nationwide protest against bad governance.

On the first day of the protests, Regina shared a video urging Nigerians to protest peacefully. Some people felt she wasn’t the right person to give this advice and told her to avoid making herself a target on social media.

In a new Instagram video, Regina acknowledged that her position is privileged but also emphasized that she understands the need for better pay for her domestic staff. She expressed frustration with critics, saying that change in Nigeria cannot happen overnight and that she isn’t seeking approval from anyone.

She also shared a video of protesters in the north waving a Russian flag, suggesting that the protest was becoming problematic. Her post included the caption: “I speak as a proud citizen of this Great Country! WE ALL WANT A GREAT.

In response, viewers left more critical comments. For example, some people accused Regina of being out of touch with the realities of ordinary Nigerians, while others questioned her sincerity and motives.
