Elon Musk has resumed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman.Â
He claimed that the company is more focused on making money than benefiting the public.
Musk had previously withdrawn a similar lawsuit in June, which accused OpenAI of abandoning its original mission.
The new lawsuit seeks a judicial determination that OpenAI’s license to Microsoft for using its AI models is null and void, alleging that it is beyond the scope of their partnership.
OpenAI has a licensing partnership with Microsoft, which involves significant investment from Microsoft in exchange for the use of OpenAI’s large language models for computing services.
The earlier lawsuit from February claimed that OpenAI’s founders originally aimed to develop AI for the benefit of humanity rather than for profit.
