Ancelotti to Retire from Club football after Real Madrid

Carlos Ancelotti has hinted that Real Madrid will be his final managerial position at the club level, following 29 seasons with 10 different clubs, during his interview on the Obi One Podcast.

“I think it will be my last club, I have to say,” Ancelotti told the Obi One Podcast.
If there were an opportunity for a national team, I don’t know. I’m not so excited about being with a national team because I would lose what I like most: the day-by-day. I enjoy the day-by-day. To be here, to prepare the training, to talk to the players, to prepare the games.
“This is my 29th season as a coach. It’s true that I have won a lot, but imagine the number of titles I lost. I lost a lot.”
The 65-year-old Italian gaffer is three years into his second spell with Los Blancos, which runs until 2026, having rejoined the club in 2019 from Everton, where he stayed for two years.
The Italian was heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid amid persistent links to the Brazil Football Confederation but signed a contract extension, even though the Federation confirmed he would be joining the national team last year.
Regarded as one of the greatest in the world, Ancelotti has coached elite clubs across Europe and has guided AC Milan and Real Madrid to five Champions League titles, as well as numerous league titles with the same clubs and others.
