Apple Maps Launches On Web To Rival for Google Maps

—

Apple has launched a public beta of Apple Maps on the web, bringing the service directly to users’ browsers.
This move positions Apple Maps as a competitor to Google Maps, which has been available on the web for many years.
The web version of Apple Maps supports English and is compatible with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, as well as Chrome and Edge on Windows PCs. Apple intends to add more languages, browsers, and platforms in the future.
Users can access driving and walking directions, order food, browse curated guides and reviews, and more through Apple Maps on the web.
Apple plans to introduce additional features, including the “Look Around” panoramic view, in upcoming months.
Additionally, developers can link to Maps on the web, allowing users to get driving directions and detailed place information.
The introduction of Apple Maps on the web marks a significant expansion 12 years after its initial release on the iPhone.
Apple aims to attract a broader audience and compete more effectively with Google Maps in the online mapping space.
