Copa América: Colombia Defeats Uruguay to Face Argentina in the Final

Ten-man Colombia defied the odds to defeat Uruguay, securing a place in the final of the 2024 Copa América.

Despite a red card just before halftime, the Colombians triumphed with a 1-0 victory in regular time.

Crystal Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma put Colombia ahead with a stunning goal in the 39th minute. However, his clubmate Daniel Munoz received a red card, leaving Colombia to play with ten men for the entire second half.

Despite this disadvantage, Colombia held firm, repelling all of Uruguay’s dangerous attempts and preserving their 1-0 lead.

With Argentina defeating Canada, they are now set to face Colombia in the final of the tournament on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the 65,000-capacity Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
