Rapper Lil Durk’s Son Involved in Shooting Incident

—

American rapper Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son allegedly shot his stepdad, Joshua Pippens, during a fight with the boy’s mother.

Surveillance cameras recorded the incident. The video shows the child taking a gun from Pippens, aiming it at him, and firing.

In the video, Pippens, wearing orange, is seen trying to restrain the child’s mother, who is dressed in purple. The child, in a red t-shirt and shorts, then points the gun at Pippens.

A single gunshot is heard, and Pippens falls to the ground after being shot.

The shooting happened on July 1. Since then, Pippens has spoken from his hospital bed.

On his Instagram page, Pippens said he was not the aggressor and that the child acted on his mother’s instructions.

He wrote, “As you can see, I was not the aggressor. You can also see I still had my gun on my hip. He took my gun from my hip following his mom’s lead and shot me.

“I was trying to protect myself from getting shot. I never thought a kid I cared for would do this, but he only knows what his mom shows him. I still love him like he’s mine.”

Pippens suggested the argument was about custody of a child he shares with the woman.

“That’s why I have custody of my kids and she doesn’t. I’m thankful it was me who got shot and not her,” he wrote.

Rapper Lil Durk has not yet responded to the incident.
