The District Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Prayer Mountain of Mercy, District Headquarters in Ojoo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Pastor Isaiah Alade, has called on security agencies to bolster security around worship centers, recreation areas, and other public spaces to ensure the safety of Nigerians.
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan, on Sunday, Alade’s comments followed the recent attacks in Gwoza and the growing incidents of insecurity across the country.
He acknowledged the efforts of security agencies but emphasized the need for stronger cooperation among them to effectively combat crime.
“Security cannot be left to the government alone; it requires the involvement of everyone,” Alade said, urging religious leaders to be more vigilant in their places of worship. He called for a concerted effort from all sectors to address security challenges.
“I urge the Nigeria police and other security agencies to collaborate closely to ensure the safety of innocent citizens, no matter where they are in the country,” he added.
Alade also highlighted the vital role of families, particularly parents and guardians, in guiding their children towards responsible living.
He stressed that quality parenting is crucial for children’s success and their meaningful contributions to society.
“Parents need to be responsible for the physical, moral, religious, and mental development of their children to help create a peaceful society,” Alade concluded.
