Boko Haram terrorists have abducted High Court Judge Justice Haruna Mshelia, his wife, driver, and security escort along Biu to Maiduguri road in Borno State.
The incident occurred on Monday while the judge was traveling with his companions in his vehicle.
According to a local source, Zagazola Makama, the abduction took place between Burutai and Buni-Gari.
As Justice Mshelia’s vehicle approached a curve, a group of armed men emerged from the bushes and began firing, forcing the vehicle to halt. Despite attempts to escape, the vehicle was intercepted by another group of insurgents.
The terrorists took the judge and his companions hostage and transported them to the Sambisa Forest, Borno.
The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region, where Boko Haram has continued to carry out attacks and abductions.
