The Nasarawa State Government showed its appreciation to Nasarawa United, providing them with a generous sum of N2 million for their commendable performance as runners-up in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff, on Tuesday.
Additionally, the team secured a coveted promotion ticket to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) during the intense competition.
During a gathering in Gudi, Governor Abdullahi Sule personally presented the donation to the players and officials, expressing his pride in their achievement and the positive representation they’ve brought to the state.
In a gesture of support and recognition, Governor Sule also extended financial assistance amounting to N1.5 million to the supporters club, highlighting the integral role they play in bolstering the team’s morale and fostering community spirit.
It’s worth noting that Beyond Limits emerged victorious in the Super Eight tournament, clinching the championship title.
Alongside Nasarawa United, other teams earning promotion to the NPFL include El-Kanemi Warriors and Ikorodu City.
