Nigerian comedian and actor Isaac Olayiwola, known as Layi Wasabi, has shared why he doesn’t believe in having a “girlfriend.”
In an episode of the ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ podcast hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam, Wasabi, who won the Best Online Content Creator at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, explained that he prefers the term “partnership” over “girlfriend.”
He said, “I don’t believe in the concept of a girlfriend. I believe in partnership. I start with courtship. I need to see a potential wife in the person from the beginning.”
Chinasa commented, “That shows a level of focus.”
Wasabi also revealed that he has only been on dates four times. He mentioned that his ideal partner is a tall woman, as height is the first thing he notices in women.
