Governor Zulum Forms a 13-Member Committee for Christian Pilgrimage in Borno

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has established a 13-member committee to oversee Christian pilgrimage activities in the state.
This announcement was made on Thursday by Baba Sheikh Haruna, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Zulum.
According to Haruna, the committee’s role is to manage the state’s Christian pilgrimage activities and contribute to the development of religious tourism.
The committee also aims to foster greater understanding and cooperation between people of different faiths.
The committee will be chaired by Dr. Bishop John Bakeni, with Luka Musa Apagu serving as the secretary.
Other members include Barr. Simon Malgwi, Hon. Tarpaya Asaya, Hon. Simon Yaksa Dibal, Hon. Kwapchi Bata, Ogwuchukwu Oko Ike, Engr. Ngitta Hassan Mshelia, Mrs. Lydia Gora, Mrs. Wazini Yakubu, Mrs. Hassan Anjili Malgwi, Hon. Christopher Godwill Akaba, and Elder Lawan Ningi Ndirbita.
Governor Zulum has emphasized the committee’s responsibility to promote religious harmony and development within the state. He expects the committee to play a crucial role in achieving these objectives.
